We are five!

It seems hard to believe that we are already celebrating our fifth anniversary. From our launch in 2015, we have seen so much change and development in the lettings industry generally, and we are proud to continue to grow as one of the leading independent letting agents in our area.

Award Property was established by Andrew Ward with an agenda to showcase the best aspects of lettings and property management with a level of professionalism not always seen throughout the industry. Our aim of providing modern, high-quality services, combined with a traditional approach to customer care and support, remains core to our business and is widely acknowledged as being the driver of our ongoing success.

We let and manage property, but we build relationships. Our business is a people business and we concentrate so hard on the individual, their needs and objectives to ensure that each client, customer and supplier gets the best experience throughout their journey with us.

Starting with a few properties and some valued clients, our business has grown to include a substantial property portfolio of let and managed properties, now with a great many of our landlords and tenants coming to us from personal recommendation or referral.

Over these five years we have seen so many changes. A constant stream of new legislation to improve the standard of rental accommodation, changes to help tenants through measures like the tenant fee ban in 2019 and a whole raft of new regulations and financial burdens on landlords have all proved challenging to the industry and we - like most - have adapted to ensure we stay ahead of the game, keeping our business compliant and well prepared for the next round of challenges thrown our way.

Our business is built on the philosophy of service first, above everything. Our efforts have been recognised with a series of awards, including best letting and overall agent in our area for customer service for the last two years. (Source AllAgents public review body.) In addition, Andrew received the Allagents Gold People’s Award for being the best individual agent in Cambridge in 2019 (lettings and overall). Our clients continue to say lovely things about us, not just to us directly but to others too, and we are always grateful for every comment and review - they all help us grow.

Five years have passed so quickly, we are proud to be independent and are proud too of our achievements and growth. We’re excited about the future. Residential lettings and property management have had a rough time and the ever-changing environment isn’t going to settle any time soon.
