There whenever we're needed

As letting agents in Cambridge, we're always there for our landlord and tenant clients, and our mantra is to expect the unexpected as you never know when you're going to be contacted.

At 11.15pm yesterday we received a call from a tenant advising that they had water leaking from their loft and ‘gushing’ down the outside of their house. We put in a quick call to our superb Plumbing and Heating Engineers at AM Heating Ltd and by just after midnight they had attended the property and isolated the leak. They are booked in to return today to complete the full repair and this is just another example of the responsive service we provide to all of our clients.

This incident does bring to light the need to know how to isolate the water supply at your property in the event of a major leak. Turning off the water quickly can often go a long way to reducing the impact of a leak and the consequential damage that may arise as a result.

For any householder it is good practice to familiarise yourself with the location of any mains isolator or stopcock within the property and test it regularly to ensure it is in good order. And if you're a tenant, if you’re unsure of where to find the mains stopcock in your property, then give a us a call and we can always advise or assist in getting you prepared for when something goes awry with the plumbing.

Award Property Management are letting agents in Cambridge, so if you have any questions about any aspects of letting or renting a property, please feel free to contact us for an initial discussion.
